Honoring our Front Line Workers

This past week we switched up our “Meet & Eat” events and instead partnered with Marion Manor and Cheese It Up to provided dozens of meals to front-line nursing home workers and ministers.
It was a beautiful day, and we were lucky to have a lovely evening. The staff at Marion Manor is exceptionally dedicated to serving our community, and I couldn’t be more proud of the collaboration with these two community partners.

Having a few hours to walk to the grounds, meet the providers, and reflect on their service reaffirmed my commitment to my service to our community. It reminds me of a meditation affirmation:

“Authentic human work always involves service to others.”

I want to take a moment and thank Mike Murphy and his staff from Cheese It Up for providing such excellent hot meals and Desiree & Teresa, from Marion Manor, for helping us coordinate this special treat for their Healthcare Heros! I know I am not alone in saying how grateful we are for their service to our community!
